“Warsaw Theological Studies” (pol. Warszawskie Studia Teologiczne) is an academic journal published by the Catholic Academy in Warsaw. "Warsaw Theological Studies" is an international journal and features papers written in Polish, English, German, French, Italian and Spanish. They are written by both Polish scholars and those working internationally.

The journal has been issued continuously since 1983. It was a quarterly until 2019 and was transformed into a biannual in 2020.

To maintain a high content-based standard, all submitted articles are subject to double-blind peer review procedures.

"Warsaw Theological Studies" is listed in the Index Copernicus International Journals Master List (100.00 points for 2023). In 2024, the journal was awarded 70 points on the list of academic journals published by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

The printed edition is the main version. The journal is available free-of-charge and according to the Open Access regulations (as a PDF file on the website). The authors do not incur any costs related to publication. (more)

The journal co-financed by the Ministry of Education and Science within the programme "Rozwój czasopism naukowych" ("Development of scientific journals"). Contract no. RCN/SN/0428/2021/1 of 2nd December 2022. Project duration: 1 October 2022 - 30 September 2024. The amount of co-financing is 68 790,00 PLN.

The aim of the programme is to support the Editorial Board of the journal "Warszawskie Studia Teologiczne" ("Warsaw Theological Studies") in the implementation of its development strategy, which includes activities raising the level of publishing and editorial practices, increasing the journal's impact on the development of science and maintaining the journal in the international academic circulation.
