Declaration of digital accessibility of the journal's website

1. Legal basis and standards

Website of "Warsaw Theological Studies" journal is subject to the requirements set out in the Polish Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies, as amended on 9 March 2023. The requirements specified in the Annex to the Act are deemed to be met when taking into account points 9–11 of the Polish Standard implementing ETSI EN 301 549 V3.2.1:2021.

2. Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement has been developed using the template set out in Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/1523 of October 11, 2018.

The declaration is published on both language versions of the journal's website: Polish and English.

The Statement is reviewed and updated by 31 March each year and without delay after any changes that may affect accessibility.

This page is informational and describes procedures; the detailed compliance status and the list of inaccessible content are provided in the Accessibility Statement of the Catholic Academy in Warsaw.

3. Publications and files

The editorial board of “Warsaw Theological Studies” strives to ensure that published content (including files such as PDF articles) is prepared in a way that enables its use with assistive technologies.

4. Reporting problems and requesting accessibility

Everyone has the right to request that a journal's website be made digitally accessible (including a document published on the journals platform) and—where this is not possible—to request access via an alternative means.

Reports and requests may also concern content or elements of the journal's website that are temporarily inaccessible or have been identified as excluded from the duty to ensure accessibility; in such cases, we will provide information and, where necessary, an alternative means of access in accordance with the Act.

4.1. How to submit a request

Send an email to:  sekretariat@akademiakatolicka.pl

The request should include:

  1. the contact details of the person submitting the request,

  2. an indication of the page / page element / document concerned (preferably a link),

  3. the preferred method of contact,

  4. the preferred alternative means of access—if applicable.

4.2. Time limits

Accessibility is ensured without undue delay, no later than within 7 days from the date of the request.

In cases requiring technical work, the deadline may be extended in accordance with the Act, however no longer than up to 2 months, with the reason for the delay and the new deadline provided.

4.3. Alternative means of access

If we cannot ensure accessibility as requested, we will indicate an alternative means of access to the content.

An alternative means of access may, in particular, involve providing access via telephone, postal correspondence, or electronic communication (as well as other forms indicated in the Act).

4.4. Refusal

We may refuse to ensure accessibility of an element if doing so would involve a risk of undermining the integrity or reliability of the information provided.

4.5. Complaint

In the event of a refusal to ensure accessibility (or a refusal to provide an alternative means of access), the requester is entitled to lodge a complaint. Complaint proceedings are governed by Section VIII of the Polish Code of Administrative Procedure.
